The B23 Arrives: A New Era for the DLR

Internal comms film documenting DLR’s first new train B23 arrival at Beckton Depot, unloading process, teamwork, and pride moment together.

Challenge: Capture a milestone moment and bring colleagues into the story of modernising the DLR — beyond a basic ā€œit’s hereā€ update.
Approach: We documented the UK depot arrival and unloading process with a focus on safety, precision and the people behind the operation, shaped for internal comms.
Impact: A pride-building internal film that makes the scale of the work visible and helps align teams around progress and momentum.

For KeolisAmey Docklands, operators of London’s DLR, we documented a major milestone: the arrival of the very first new train – B23 – at Beckton Depot. Our film captures the UK depot arrival and unloading process as the unit is brought in on lorries and carefully transferred into the depot environment, giving a clear, ground-level view of the operation and the teams making it happen.

Created for internal comms first, the video was designed to build pride and momentum by spotlighting the people behind the scenes – from operational planning and safety on the day to the preparation work that follows as the fleet is tested and integrated. It’s a simple, authentic ā€œwe did itā€ moment that helps KeolisAmey Docklands bring colleagues into the story of modernising the DLR, with a cut that can also be shared externally when needed.
