dmb films has supported Welcome Break for several years providing video content for internal comms and engagement, events, and a range of key corporate projects, such as capturing the build of a new Motorway Service Area (MSA).
They host an annual conference that brings together hundreds of managers to look back on and celebrate achievements, look to the future, such as targets and goals, and provide a platform to explore challenges and feedback.
Having used video and seen the difference it can make, the Welcome Break team wanted to get creative and use video to take their annual conference to the next level.
The challenge
How do you bring hundreds of managers together for a conference, avoid ‘death-by-PowerPoint’, keep the energy and momentum going even after the event?
The solution
Use video to tell stories and create a point of difference at key moments before, during and after the conference:
- Lean into video to warm up the crowd – show the human side of leaders and humour to tell a story,
- Use video throughout the event to showcase achievements, capture attention and crank up the atmosphere,
- Get creative with live video edits to reflect the energy from the day back into the room,
- Capture key moments throughout the event that can be shared after the curtain comes down to reinforce messages.
